Barbara Anne has been in the Jewlery buisness on Boca Grande since 1992. The Manchester, Vermont native lived in her hometown until she was 21, when a job offer prompted her move to Sanibel Island. It was a change she said that was fabulous. "I loved being on the Island, I loved the weather, I loved the fact that it was such a small tight knit community much like Boca Grande." Barbara Anne attended college at the University of Vermont where she majored in marketing. Barbara was always intrigued by handcrafted jewelry and contemplated what it would be like to make her own. She soon found out that she could, and started selling her designs in 1983. In 1987 Barbara Anne attedned the Gemological Institute of America in Santa Monica, California. In 1992 she found her way to Boca Grande and has been there ever since. "I love working out here, and when I cross the bridge every morning I feel like the world just slows down down a bit. My favorite part of the island though, is the people. Everyone is nice, so down to earth."
